Executive Manager – Dr Andrew Tong

Andrew is a metallurgist with nearly 15 years of experience in project development, mining and processing activities. He is formerly the CEO of Compass Resources/Northern Territories Resources (2016-2017), and now non-executive Director of Northern Territories Resources (2017-present). Prior to that Andrew was the CEO of Goldsmith Resources (Peru) (2014-2015), and director of Australia Gold (2010-present).

Andrew is an inventor and holds several patents for processing minerals containing base and precious metals

Chief Financial Officer – Danny Morgan

Danny is a Chartered Accountant with over 25 years’ professional financial and commercial experience, with a focus in the resources industry. He has worked with a range of private and ASX listed resource companies including Donaldson Coal (CFO), Hydra Energy (CFO), Oil Search and Roc Oil across IPO’s, M&A, Financing, JV’s, Project Developments and Financial Reporting.

Exploration Manager – Heath Porteous

Heath is a Geologist with over ten years’ experience within the resource sector spanning a broad commodity profile inclusive of base, precious and industrial minerals. Heath’s expertise in mineral exploration have realised measurable return on investments across mature and green-field terrains.

With a recent focus on strategic minerals, Heath has been instrumental in the delivery of sustained Mineral Resource growth at the Broken Hill Cobalt Project; realising a 118% increase in Mineral Resource tonnes and a 124% increase in contained cobalt metal since 2016.

Approvals Manager – Dr Bruce Blunden

Bruce is an environmental engineer with 30 years experience in the private and public sectors in environmental management, approvals, regulation and research. He is formally the Manager Approvals (Surface) for BHP / South 32 – Illawarra Coal and the NSW Manager for Niche Environment and Heritage. Prior to that Bruce was a Senior Operations Officer with the NSW Environment Protection Authority and an Experimental Scientist with the CSIRO. He has a PhD in Environmental Engineering from the University of Wollongong where he developed innovative methods for managing Acid Sulphate Soils.

Bruce manages and leads multi-disciplinary teams to prepare and negotiate mining and environmental approvals, including biodiversity offsets, to ensure nil delays to operations. He has extensive on-site environmental management experience to ensure compliance with relevant approval and regulatory obligations. He has a flair for delivering engagement programs to a range of stakeholders including; the community, landholders, regulators and elected officials.

Demonstration Plant Manager – Adam Randall

Adam has been directly involved with the mining industry and associated mineral processing technology development for 30 years. During this time, he has worked both within Australia and internationally on gold, copper, zinc, tin and mineral sands projects, in roles ranging from mining and processing operations through to cutting edge research and development for hydrometallurgical mineral processing.

He has overseen the successful construction and commissioning of several pilot and demonstration processing facilities, as well as refurbishment and upgrade projects for commercial processing pants. Adam developed a Direct Sale Ore project in Eritrea (Bisha Mine, Nevsun) that generated ~USD$135M in 2015/16.

Communications & Engagement Manager – Andrea Roberts

Andrea’s career history spans a range of leadership roles across government, industry boards and the private sector, including Tourism SA, Local Government in NSW and Victoria, and CEO of destination marketing and management Boards on the Great Ocean Road, Yarra Valley, Dandenong and the Ranges in Victoria.

She has pioneered strategies in eco and sustainable tourism (Nimbin, Lismore, The Tweed, Mount Warning, Balllina, Yamba, Grafton and Byron Bay) who engages deeply with community.

As the strategic city development executive in her home town of Broken Hill she developed brand Broken Hill, supported the decade-long bid that achieved City-wide National Heritage Listing and synthesised complex strategies into the Living Museum and Perfect Light Project. This Project alone has attracted millions of dollars from private and public sources for bold and courageous endeavours aiming for disruptive transformation through art, light, tourism, renewables, smart community, events and activation.

Chief Representative, China – Joe Lam

Joe is a chemical engineer with more than 25 years of experience in minerals processing project development in Australia and China.

For the last 10 years, Joe has been representing Australian parties to export sustainable mineral processing technologies to China, with the focus on secondary metal resources and recycling industrial metallic intermediaries.

Joe is the sole inventor of a halide copper electrowinning cell and the co-inventor of a technology which is used for upgrading low grade polymetallic ore or concentrate.
